Tasting Notes

Variety: Shiraz
Region: Strathbogie Ranges
Alcohol: 14%

A challenging year in the vineyard produced just 3 tonne of ripe small berries, bright in colour and full of flavour. We beat the odds and with constant monitoring and hand tending, including hand picking we produced a wine full of the typical Maygar intense fruit. Our experience of matching oak with this shiraz fruit continue to produce wine that shows soft tannins blending in well. It is complex and shows a long finish full of those well-known Maygar berry flavours. Drink now or store well.

Bright, full colour; a very elegant wine with perfectly ripened shiraz fruit the result of a perfect growing season and the quality of the terroir of the vineyard; the tannins are fine, the oak also playing a positive role. 95 Points.
